ACE - Women's Program

Achieving Coaching Excellence Program for Women
 
The AAE Achieving Coaching Excellence Program (ACE) is designed to provide a professional development opportunity for current women?s basketball coaches. ACE is committed to assisting ethnic minority collegiate women?s basketball coaches for success as future head basketball coaches.
 
ACE will provide selected participants an opportunity to engage and interact with collegiate presidents, athletic directors, head basketball coaches and leaders involved in inter-collegiate athletics. Participants will receive training and education in the areas of leadership, communication, campus relations, media, community engagement and athletic program management.
 
AAE will accept up to 12 women?s basketball coaches for the 2016 program scheduled to be held June 7-9, 2016 in Indianapolis, IN

ACE Program Eligibility
  • Applicant must have a bachelor?s degree from an accredited NCAA college or University.
  • Applicant must be currently employed full-time at an accredited four-year institution in the capacity as an associate/assistant coach at a Division I, Division II, Division III or a NAIA institution.
  • Applicant must have at least three years? experience as part of a collegiate basketball staff.
  • Must be able to attend all sessions of the three-day program.
  • Candidates will be required to become a member of AAE upon acceptance into the program.

Each candidate is asked to provide the following information for consideration:
 
  • Completed 2016 ACE application
  • Current resume
  • Biography
  • Personal statement of why you would like to participate in the program and how the program would benefit from your participation
  • Letter of recommendation from head coach or director of athletics
